Robot

Publicado por Claudio Rodriguez Valdes

I just finished this illustration a couple of hours ago... I started playing with the idea of creating a character Robot to go with a children's book (I got the idea from a topic posted in Monday Artday) so I created this robot who doesnt quite fit. In this illustration you see him trying to be part of the birds clique.
Anyway I also made this illustration for my brother's birthday I hope he likes it

Hindu boy riding Akabeko

Publicado por Claudio Rodriguez Valdes

This is an illustration of a Hindu boy riding Akabeko.
Akabeko is a red (cow/ox) from a japanese legend.
According to Wikipedia, Akabeko is a real cow that lived in AD 807. At that time, a monk named Tokuichi was supervising the construction of Enzō-ji, a temple in Yanaizu. Upon the temple's completion, a red ox that had been used to haul timber to the site gave its spirit to Buddha, and its flesh immediately turned to stone. Another version of the tale claims that the cow instead refused to leave the temple grounds after construction had been completed and became a permanent fixture there.

Girl reading to magical creatures

Publicado por Claudio Rodriguez Valdes

This is a birthday gift I made for my mom, it took me 8 days to finish and it is perhaps one of my favorite paintings.

It will also be my entry for this IF... since the illustration is about a girl who packs her books everyday and reads to magical creatures in the forest.
